Last day at the foundation

Emotional!!! That’s it! There are no better words to describe it. We hugged, took pictures, then hugged again, then pictures again and I think there was another round of this routine before I left.
Here, some pictures.

The website is done

Well, after having to do it 3 times I finally finished the website with the help of the others. Still I don’t like it because I had to do it with a tool that won’t let you do what you actually want to do. Anyway this is the link to it if you want to take a look.

Presentation 4 - The big one

And yes, i did it. This is the presentation I had to give to my host Rotary club. I have to admit that i was really nervous, one kid at the Foundation (where I help some kids) even noticed it. But it went well, just few questions from my host conselor and that was it. It took about 10 to 12 minutes and as soon as I started I felt confortable.
Then, the president of the club and I presented my work on the website which is not finished yet.

Here are some pictures.

Presentation 3

Day after presentation 2, another one. But this time the same one in spanish!!! This was really tough. Questions were flowing and we were to answer in a grammatically perfect sentence, I had to threaten the director of the school so that she stop shooting questions haha!!! It went pretty well anyway!!

Here...

Presentation 2

And another presentation, this one was on November 12, at my school to a group of spanish learning english...yes it was in english!!! The three others scholars joined me and we once again talked about Rotary and its service and impact on the world.

Fundacion Escuela Solidaridad

I have been going to this foundation every monday and wednesday to help 3 kids (that were assigned to me) with english, mathematics and computer sciences (well it was more like teaching them basic things of a computer). It is or should i say it was a great experience (since I only have a week left of my adventure here) even though one kid here call me "feo" which is ugl, but i don't really blame him since the governor of this district thinks the same of me!!!!

Anyway I don't have a whole lot of pictures but this is what I have. Enjoy!!!!

Visit of the district governor

Last friday we received the visit of the district 2303 governor. A nice dinner. Here, some pictures:

Presentation 1

This is it. The first one is done. It was great. I did it along with 3 other scholars, Beth was one of them, at the Foundation Solidaridad to the kids that live there. They didn't fall asleep so I guess the liked it.

Anyway I'm happy, but don't really feel smart since none of us thought about taking pictures. I think we were worried about giving a presentation in spanish. I promise pictures for the next one.

Later
